Revo Big Block Conversion
Update 5/29/06: It has been discovered that with a minor modification to an RPM rear arm, some engines equipped with a rotated-gear-start back plate, can be installed with our big block kits. See the FAQ for details.

This kit doesn't leave you stuck having to use the
small block clutch, flywheel, or tiny tuned pipe, or gear combinations that make
your truck uncontrollable. Your big block is
limited with those things, denying the ultimate power for which you want a big block for. However,
our Stage Stock kit does allow you to use the stock pipe, clutch, and flywheel until
you are ready to step up the power.
All kits are designed for non-pull start engines and use the stock throttle
linkage and flywheel collet.
Our kit allows the lowest possible engine mounting. Our Wasp test engine sits about 1/32 of an inch off the chassis. With less than a 37mm flywheel in our Stage 2-Shoe and 3-Shoe kits, the flywheel sits just short of flush with the chassis for excellent starter box or bump starter use. You can also use a 18T big block clutch bell with the stock 38T spur gear. With the engine mounted so low, the engine is also closer to the center with our kit with any given gear combination. Most other kits won't even allow you to run gears that will keep all four wheels on the ground. We think 18/36 is perfect for strong big blocks.

The Revo in our VIDEOS uses a Wasp 26, 18T HPI heavy-duty clutch bell, stock 38T spur, our RBBC Stage 3-Shoe, OFNA clutch springs, HPI Savage SS pipe, and aluminum clutch shoes, and no other modifications. The slipper is fairly tight. No real setup was done to the truck. A well setup Revo with this kit would be one very fast lapping truck. Fear triples no more. A smaller spur gears, larger clutch tooth count, and longer wheelbase all help to control high powered engines.
All Kits Include:
1. Slide Adjustment:
Your big block is held in position by 4 screws in
adjustment slots, just like a big block should be.

Consistent Starting position:
Your flywheel never lifts due to gear changes. You
starter box never needs adjustment due to gear changes.
3.
Use of the factory throttle linkage:
The return
spring is removed and the linkage is used for both applying the brakes and
closing the throttle.

All Required fasteners:
We provide all of the fasteners
needed that do not come equipped on the Revo.

Adjustable Throttle Arm Position:
The position of the carb arm varies with different engines. If the arm is not in the right
place you could have binding which will
make for rough throttle actuation and drain the receiver pack prematurely.
With our kit, you can get it in the proper location for you particular engine.

modification with rotary tool), stock roll bar if you wish to keep it.

non-pull big block engine with SG shaft and slide carb,
exhaust manifold gasket
(not included because big block exhaust ports vary in size),

big block tuned pipe, big block clutch bell, big block 2-shoe or 3-shoe clutch.
Tuner Kit plus a Qoncepts 3-shoe flywheel. This kit is for use with big block clutch bell and big block 3-shoe clutch. HPI 86076 Pilot Nut (clutch nut) or similar recommended for most engines. This nut is not included.
This kit allows racers to install a big block
engine with the advantages of our mounting system, but gives you the freedom to
choose a different flywheel, clutch nut, and header, as it does not include any
of these components.
The Qoncepts flywheel was designed for use with
our engine mounting system, big block engines, and the Traxxas factory (which is
very similar to most other collets). Fitment with other engine mounting
systems may be possible, but not guaranteed. HPI 86076 Pilot Nut (clutch nut) or similar
recommended for most engines. This nut is not included.
