Our new Extended Wheelbase
Carriers (EWCs) bring new
dimensions to the Revo. Adding then alone increases the wheelbase by 1/2
inch (12.7mm). Coupled with the Traxxas Adjustable Wheelbase arms (AWAs),
tames the "Savage" beast. Add in an extended chassis, and things get
ridiculous, making some other truck the
LeaST
of your worries. So how much increase are we talking here?
Stock Revo
2.5 = 317.5 mm
Revo 2.5 with AWAs front position = 327.5 mm
Revo 2.5 with EWCs = 330.2 mm
Revo 2.5 with AWAs rear position = 336.5 mm
Revo 2.5 with AWAs front position with EWCs = 340.2 mm
Revo 2.5 with AWAs rear position with EWCs = 349.2 mm. That's 1.248"
over stock!!
......and everything still runs smoothly.
Greater wheelbase equals greater stability at high speed, better mid-air control, better track-to-wheelbase ratio (especially with extra wide wheels), better and steeper hill climbing, fewer unwanted wheelies, etc., which are all important when you drop in more horsepower.
The carriers are made of 7075-T6 aluminum, which has twice the yield strength of annealed 316 stainless steel at nearly 1/3 the weight. There are no extra parts needed. With the stock arms and wheels, there is no binding, no rubbing , no interference. There is plenty of clearance between all parts. Coupled with the AWAs, some wheels touch the upper arm. See wheel chart below. Straight bolt-on installation with stock rear arms, Traxxas AWAs, RPM rear arms, and various others). If you have Revo factory arms, simply remove the unused portion as pictured. The set comes with 2 carriers designed for rear fit only, mounting hardware, instructions, and a Qoncepts decal.
